If words could touch you

If words could touch you
Let them caress you like a long lost lover
Weary from battle, the war of raw,
An encounter with the inevitable.

If words could touch you
Let the syllables play within the core
As the troubadours take part in
The more solitude be tolerable
Be with the words
Words whose cradle within
Returns to the primitive.

If words could touch you
Let them be but do not
Every word is an enemy of action
Every action a friend to none.

Coffee Drinking

To drink a cup of coffee is like a movie marathon,

Because each day I can savor its sweet pleasure;

Watching and drinking is the mother of satisfaction.

Fifty cups a day is my minimum when I take action

Each day a battle to stay awake, my only cure,

To drink a cup of coffee is like a movie marathon.

My old eyes and my old tongue are in unison

As they taste bittersweet memories that are pure,

Watching and drinking is the mother of satisfaction.

I know, this is not your ordinary confession

But this will eventually lead me to mature;

To drink a cup of coffee is like a movie marathon.

Addiction is to the senses an evangelization,

To be converted into a state to be secured;

Watching and drinking is the mother of satisfaction.

Drinking a cup of coffee is my only religion

Like watching, this makes sense, for sure,

To drink a cup of coffee is like a movie marathon

Watching and drinking is the mother of satisfaction.
